It's hard to believe June will be here in a few days. Planting of annuals is behind schedule due to cold and rainy weather; the soil just hasn't warmed. However, perennials seem to be growing well and I have a fairly consistent supply of things to cut from around my homestead.
The lilacs bloomed just in time for Mother's Day.
As a two-day heat wave the following week brought the lilacs past their prime, Lily of the Valley (convallaria) and Spirea stepped in to provide a vision in white.
Coming soon, False Indigo (baptisia), Iris, Yarrow (achillea), and more!
